Somewhat taciturn, very self-secure, deadpan af, genuinely interested in helping people achieve "better" regardless of whether that means creating a better world for them to live in or to just make sure there's at least one person to listen to their story. Started as a miner, became the leader of both an underground revolution as well as simultaneously a spiritual leader - he's an interesting dude. Biggest failing is probably talking in religious cryptic shit. Btw his order is a group of "sadomasochistic theosophers" who worship "a goddamn tree". so that's who he is. ▶ Desired CR. Well I mean. I'm new, so I'm in need of a bit of everything. Getting into specifics - I love positive and negative and ambivalent CR all just as much as each other.
- He'll probably initially find some people who can help him settle in at first; he's not used to being anywhere but his own environment and he was intimately familiar with those few places he was, so a whole new history, a whole new galaxy - he's gonna want to feel caught up. - I put Mario Kart in his TDM top level and while no one took him up on it I still think it would be hilarious to have some kind of rivalry with someone based on it. - someone hears he loves trees and comes asking about trees bc he actually knows nothing about real trees since he's probably seen about thirty in his entire life and 29 of them were the same kind of tree - one that was far away - clearly i'm running out of ideas but i am honestly down for anything. i love random bullshit, however it's flavoured or comes about.
Currently I'm not actually too sure what he's really going to do here - he's a character who is particularly tied to certain elements within their home environment (not that... all of them aren't), so it might take me a little time to figure out how he'll move about here, specifically. Which just makes me more interested in stuff people come up with off the bat rn. Right now Alvis' only goal is to learn, really.

- Alvis can be passive but he can also choose to pick someone and just like. Sibling the shit out of them. (He makes an excellent irritating younger brother. Also maybe a weirdly intuitive half-brother? idk.) - Also he's really good at the whole counseling thing, so he'll probably wind up drawn to people who seem like they might need it? - I mentioned the weirdly intuitive thing but he is actually a good soundboard, and he's pretty good at seeking out or just ~being nearby people who need one. He doesn't have any training in... well anything, i'd imagine, he's probably an autodidact. But! He's consistently shown to make good connections between things faster than several others, so. he might be able to help with random shit. - Also he's good at the like. Gentler version of the whole calling-out-on-your-shit thing, in the sense that he sort of gets direct but mostly when he can't get you to notice it yourself. - do you need God in your life? Have you considered accepting the gods and well-being of a mystical life-giving tree? aka who needs a monk. i guess. - related to that: messing with your stereotypical idea of what a "monk" is, i guess, since this one apparently doesn't own shirts, drinks alcohol here and there, isn't celibate, doesn't try to spread or push his religion anywhere, wears enough bracelets and necklaces that jack sparrow feels inadequate, and has actually shot and killed someone on screen! woo!
▶ Rooming Plans. I have literally no idea if he's rooming with canonmates or not yet. Since they have three and he's used to a monastery, I would imagine he'll look for his own place, but he's flexible in the way that annoyingly easy-going people can be. ▶ RP Plans. I have (also) literally not thought about this at all beyond anything I mentioned already before now in the CR sections or whatnot.
alvis does actually own a shirt, and he's been seen to wear even regular clothing, but being a scarback monk is important to him so he'll be partial to the robes, if he can be you're welcome byerly
perfect he likes talking to people and helping them see the bullshit they're doing. it takes some p decent familiarity/friendship levels with him for him to actually be more direct, unless it seems like that's what you need maybe
